Private Orthodontic treatment is available to all patients of all ages and provides patients with the opportunity to receive treatment which is tailor-made to suit their individual needs and requirements and offers the latest in orthodontic technology.

By choosing private treatment you are making an investment as there are no waiting lists and no restrictions on the appliances we can use. This means the most sophisticated and aesthetic braces are available, giving some advantages over traditional orthodontic approaches.

Private treatments offer a greater choice of treatment appliances and may be the preferred option for those seeking more discreet/ "invisible" braces or for those patients who are either not eligible for NHS treatment following their initial consultation or do not wish to wait on our waiting list and would like to start treatment immediately.

Private patients are seen for an initial consultation by one of our specialist orthodontists. At your appointment, a comprehensive examination of your teeth and jaws is carried out together with a detailed discussion about your concerns and treatment aims. This initial consultation lasts approximately 30-45 minutes and is complimentary. If you decide that you would like to proceed with treatment, then records are taken - these consist of xrays, photos and impressions (moulds) of your teeth, which are charged at £75.

Often a treatment plan can be formulated at this first visit, but in more complex cases, or where you may wish to discuss things further, you may need to return for a second time to finalise your plan, at no further cost.
